I have just completed requesting my three annual credit reports and I continue to be dismayed by the confusion these three vendors create with their multitude of offerings of additional for-pay products. If you are not extremely careful it is almost impossible to avoid ordering a product that is available only for a fee. The alternative, "no thanks, just the free report" when noted is presented in type designed to make it appear insignificant next to the shiny red button that orders a for-pay product. Shouldn't it be possible for us to get our annual reports without having to be subjected to advertising and these carefully calculated attempts to get us to order something more? Please simplify the process and make it commercial-free.
