The process of getting a Free Annual Credit Report should not be linked, or associated in any way, with attempts to sell commercial services or products. Credit bureau advertising or sales pitches should not be present on the AnnualCreditReport web site. The consumer should be able to get their free report(s) and exit the web-site. The AnnualCreditReport web-site should retain the feature allowing the consumer to choose only one of the three credit bureau reports rather than all three reports at one time. This allows the consumer to spread a credit status review over the course of of a year by getting a report from a different company every four months.
