16 CFR Part 610 Amendments to Rule to Prevent Deceptive Marketing of Credit Reports and to Ensure Access to Free Annual File Disclosures

To Whom it may Concern, The misleading advertising has caused myself and others I know to mistakenly go to other Web sites. I suggest the credit reporting agencies be required to provide each consumber with a copy of his or her credit report free of charge twice a year. The FTC should immediately block any other advertisers from linking to the sites. It's disgraceful that these deceitful companies are granted the access they have.Consumers have a right to receive free reports twice a year since these agencies have government authority to collect and dispense this critical information. A more radical approach would be to eliminate the credit reporting agencies entirely given the enormous amount of misinformaiton and outdated information they dispense.
