From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Our Constitution provides for freedom of the press -- it does not provide for the taxpayers to fund that freedom. If a publication or journalistic endeavor cannot make it on its own, then that's how capitalism works! Taxpayers are not, and should not be, responsible to "bail out" every organization that is unable to make it financially! In addition, we, as taxpayers, have the right not to fund journalism that we do not support idealogically.
