From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Govt. should have no part in funding journalistic endeavors. For decades the media has supposed to been the private sectors check on government excess and corruption. It has become less and less a watchdog and more a lapdog for government. If tax dollars go toward training journalist these will spoil the intended purpose of media even more. That purpose should be informing the people not propagandizing and campaigning for a progressive government.
