From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Any time someone tries to limit free speech my guaranteed freedom is being challenged and government is trying to micromanage my life and the lives of my friends and neighbors. Once again the free enterprise system is working the way it is supposed to. If the news media was doing the job it is supposed to, the radio talk show hosts would not be nearly as popular as they have become. They are simply offering a difference of opinion which the American citizen is entitled to hear and consider in making a decision on a national issue. If changing the media is so important, put the 1st Amendment to a vote of the American citizen If the right to bear arms is deemed by some people to be dangerous, put the 2nd Amendment to a vote of the American citizen. With the wide variety of media available today every issue gets a fair hearing whether we like the majority opinion or not. CONTROLLING THE MEDIA IS ULTIMATELY JUST ONE MORE STEP TO A DICTATORSHIP. NO THANKS !!!!!!!
