From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
A free press; including a free flow of information without government involvement of any manner, is the most basic protection of our freedoms as a people. It is not possible to imagine any action by the Federal government that will do anything other than harm the free flow of information within the United States. A free people; not their government, selects preferred sources of information. Freedom must mean a hands-off approach by government to any speech (from any media outlets) that either a conservative or progressive might find disagreeable. Please take no action!
