The right to truly free speech is one of the key things that has set this country apart from the rest of the world. Whether conservative or liberal, the right to express one's opinions should be neither restricted nor taxed. Restriction or taxation of free speech is a major step toward a different form of government and a different form of society. This country was founded on the principle that government exists for the people, not the other way around. Socialism in any form has never succeeded economically, or socially for that matter. Government intervention in the free market is a big part of our current troubles. As a law-abiding taxpayer I demand that the FTC leave the right of free speech as is, with no restriction or taxation.
