To whom it may concern: I am concerned to hear reports and rumors that plans to additionally subsidize journalism are in the works. If these reports and rumors are not false, please make sure they become false. Please continue with the established institutions PBS and NPR, but don't expand the subsidies. The larger the number of news outlets beholden to public money, the higher the risk for free speech and diversity of opinion. Please keep these concerns in mind as you discuss how to keep US journalism alive and lively for the future, and an example for other countries to emulate! Thank you and best regards, Stephan Stuecklin (US citizen abroad)
