From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
To Whom It May Concern: Government and journalism should not be mixing in any way or form. The news media is supposed to be free from any direct involvement from any government department or agency other wise it becomes propaganda. If the mainstream media is suffering it’s because of there incredibly bias reporting. Journalism is supposed to answer specific questions such as what, when, where, who, how. But it is now being used to push a specific agenda. It’s very simple, we the people are looking for a different view than what the mainstream “news” is pushing out. If they start reporting and stop spinning they will be able to grow their readership. I say no to any involvement of any government body within any industry including the news industry. I say no to my tax dollars going to pay journalist salaries. That would make them government propagandists. An American for freedom of speech. Florida, USA
