IF NEWSPAPERS CANNOT SURVIVE IN THE ELECTRONIC AGE THEN THEY SHOULD BE PUT IN THE TRASH HEAP ALONG WITH PTHER PUTMODED FORMS OF COMMUNICATION . IF THEY EXERCISED A MORE FAIR AND BALANCED REPORTING OF THE NEWS THEY WOULD LIKELY BE ABLE TO SURVIVE . THE MAJORITY HAVE A ONE SIDED SLANT , LIBERAL , AND THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS DO NOT SHARE THE LIBERAL VIEWPOINT . TO PROP UP FAILING NEWSPAPERS IS WORSE THAN THE BAILOUT OF BANKS . TO SPEND TAX DOLLARS TO PAY FOR THE EDUCATION OF MORE LIBERAL JOURNALISTS IS SOMETHING WORSE THAN A BAILOUT AND TO HAVE THEM AS PART OF AMERICORPS IS THE SAME AS STIFLING THE FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS OF THOSE WHO DO NOT SHARE THE LIBERAL IDEAS OF THIS ADMINISTRATION AND A BLATANT ATTEMPT TO STOP DISSEMINATION OF MORE CONSERVATIVE IDEAS . THE MAJORITY OF LIBERAL THINKERS SEEM TO AVOID PAYING TAXES SO THIS FALLS ALSO UNDER UNFAIR TAXATION OF ANYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH THE LEFT . PAPERS LIKE THE NY TIMES AND WASHINGTON POST HAVE LOST READERSHIP BECAUSE OF THEIR BIAS IN REPORTING AND AMERICANS ARE TIRED OF HAVING ONLY ONE SIDE OF THE NEWS REPORTED BY NETWORKS AND PRINT MEDIA . TRY FAIR AND BALANCED REPORTING , IT MAY RESULT IN A LARGER SUBSCRIPTION BASE . IT WORKS FOR FOX AND NEWSMAX .
