From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I have a better idea to save journalism: have journalists report the news and not determine the news. Newspapers like the New York Times and the Arizona Republic are underwater because every story is an editorial that undermines free speech. The verbage in and placement of every story reflects the liberal views of the editors and people are tired of this distortion. If every media outlet would present all of the facts and both sides of the issues, people would come back. Journalism is a business and deserves to succeed or fail on its own merits, not as a hired gun for a liberal agenda.
