From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I would ask that each of the member of this committee look long and hard at the ramification of changing how people receive and get news in this country. Today, most of the news media is slanted one way or another. None of the news (whether printed or vocal)state just the facts. The news media has to emblish it for this or that. Whatever happened to letting the people hear the "FACTS" and let them decide? I tell you - the government has stepped in to regulate far beyond the Constitution and act like the people cannot think for themselves - even if given the "FACTS." Any further regulation of the news media will only help facilitate this or any other administration in destroying this country so many fought and died for. In addition, it would violate the Constitution of the United States, the founding document of this country. Please do not allow any more control over how the people of this country gets its news - otherwise we will be like every other country where the person in power controls what the people hear - and it is not the "FACTS"! Thank you for reading this.
