From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
We don't mind showing our real names because we're real people with real concerns and real opinions about the direction the current administration is taking our country. The last time I checked, we still had FREE SPEECH in this country, one of the liberties upon which this country was founded. We vehemently oppose the government's current push to regulate and take over the airwaves and the internet just because it doesn't agree with the conservative thought that dominates the discussion of the issues of the day. The idea that our government would propose, much less actually put into motion, the following is reprehensible and unconstitutional and legislating from the bully pulpit: * The creation of a journalism division of AmeriCorps -- forcing taxpayers to pay the Obama Administration to train up the next generation of liberal journalists! * A direct journalism bailout fund to “help pay the salary of every journalist.” That Americans would also be forced to fund the liberal media is totalitarianism/socialism, and Americans are not going to stand for it! Government, "cease and desist" and get out of our lives and our way to allow the free enterprise system and our constitutional freedoms to do what they do best.....keep America the strongest and most powerful nation on this earth!
