FTC you have no right to mess with freedom of the press! You are trying to mess with the Constitution: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press.” Government has no right to regulate media. Nor do you have the right to a Big Government solution that taxes all of us to support new media alternatives or trying to preserve the old. On the question you are posing: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age? My answer is Journalism is to survive just like any other industry, they must adapt to changing times and changing technology. The delivery medium is changing from paper to electronics. WE DO NOT WANT TO BAIL OUT JOURNALISM, AND WE DO NOT WANT THEM GETTING MONEY IN ANY FASHION FROM ANY GOVERNMENT except for normal government notices. If journalism is not free of dependence on government, then soon none of us will be free of government tyranny.
