From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I do not want our freedom of speech curtailed in any way! Our Constitution & Bill of Rights guarantee certain rights to us. I don't want to lose any of them! There are many things in our USA that do need to be fixed...take care of them & leave our foundation alone! This last year it's become popular to change everything; even if it doesn't need changing!! If the politicians don't like what someone says about them; they should remember the old saying. "If you can't stand the heat...get out of the kitchen!" That's the nature of politics, they say plenty that other people don't want to hear but don't want to give that same freedom to everyone else. We are equals in this country..therefor we have the same rights! Some of us still use a little common sense. I sure don't see much on display in Washington, DC & they sorely need it. I never knew before that being voted into Federal office included an automatic Lobotomy! We have more than enough government regulation as it is. We do not need any more! Let the people with the problem..solve the problem. This country was built by "thinking outside the box". That attitude is still in all of us. All we have to do, is use that ability. We don't need "Big Brother" to run our lives. Even the people that think they have forgotten how to think for them selves will remember how if they just try. The govt does't have to take over & fix eyerything. There are many things that once were mainstays of the economy & have been replaced with something else... horses/cars; trains/big trucks & planes; walk-in & drive-in movies/TV, & DVDs; Telephone operators/ cell phones, progress means replacing one with another. Either change to another product or sell to someone with a new idea. It happens to other businesses every day. rc
