From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Journalism in America would be just fine if left alone and allowed to practice free speech, our most sacred right in the Constitution. In my opinion, current journalists would do well to report the news as it exists in reality, without the usual liberal bias. The responsibility of the press is to make the public aware of current legislation in local, state, and federal venues without political spin added to the facts. Free speech on the Internet is also essential, unencumbered by federal regulation and taxes imposed on opinions and ideas deemed unacceptable by the Administration. Free people innovate and think whatever they wish. Journalists do not need government "education" to learn how to think, especially at taxpayer expense. The country will thrive and grow stronger with truly free speech.
