From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Hello - I think these proposals amount to taxing successful news organizations to support unsuccessful ones. Traditional newspapers should learn from the internet news services--that is, for example, they should charge for some services, and have some free services. If they do not go to the internet, they will fail in a few years. The good reporters will always find a market for their work. Sincerely, George B. Salley, Jr.
