From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I'm writing this short note on behalf of all Americans who understand that one of our most basic and most cherished rights in this country is the right to free, FREE, speech!!! It is inconceivable that our government wants to now impose a tax on speech. Debate within our country is what makes our country strong. That ability to disagree with one another has always brought about the best in Americans and our government!!! To make a tax in the hopes of stopping discussion that differs from our government, is beyond reason as an American!! To make a tax to train journalists of the future, why, let them pay for their schooling and training like everyone else does in their chosen profession!! What we don't need are any more journalists that bow to the whims of our government, no matter who is in the White House at the time!! Our media should be unbiased again, and act as real journalists instead of the lapdogs they've become over the past few decades. As for taxing electronics that may be purchased, most places already have a sales tax on items such as these, we do not need more taxes!!!!! Start thinking like real Americans, not like some brainwashed robots of the current administration!!!! Get a clue, most Americans do not want more government, we want less meddling in our affairs as citizens of this country, and we won't stand for having our basic rights trampled on!!!!!!!
