From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I am getting more and more concerned about our government's involvement in taking over the rights of people. Taxing free speech is another attempt to silence those with religious thoughts and opinioms. I think it's time that our government leaders and commissions such as the FTC stop rushing to take away our liberties and reread the constitution to review just what our Founding Fathers intended when they wrote it. Silencing the conservative views is not intended and never was. It's definitely time for our country, which was founded under strong beliefs in God, return to Him, ask His forgiveness for the way we've turned from Him, and follow, at the very least, the Golden Rule--to do onto others as you would have them do onto you. I'm afraid we are on such a slippery slope towards becoming a state of dictatorship and that our freedoms, our country, will fall as the Romans did many years ago. Thank you for considering my comments. Let us all pray for God's blessings and help. B. L.
