From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I feel that the public media TV/Radio/Newspapers/Magazines/Internet should be supported by their advertisers, or by private doners. What I am really saying is that no government funds (taxpayer money) should be allowed to be funneled by any means to the media or to support journalist. One of the major reasons that the major media is not being supported by its advertisers is that they are losing subscribers/audiance. The reason for this is their odvious liberial bias. I was close to dropping my local newspaper until they demonstrated a noticable change to more balances reporting and editorial commentary. I do not pay any attention to network news because of its slant. If they want more viewers and therefore more advertised dollars they need to start reporting facts instead of liberial opinion. We the people watch/read the news to see what is going on, not what the reporter/commentator thinks about it. I get most of my news off of the internet where I can judge the facts presented for myself.
