From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I oppose the federal government getting involved in any way with journalism, no matter what party is in office. There should be no funding or control over the media whether it be news paper journalists, the internet, radio or television. The U.S. needs a free press and it should not be taxed or controlled by the government in any way. Government funding and regulation results in control. Just because the internet is a new form of providing information, it does not mean that government should have a hand in, regulate or control the information that is provided. Keep government hands off all forms of media. The market place will support or not support the different types of media.
