From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
As technology grows, things change. Well, "The Times, They Are A Changin'". If a private business is no longer profitable, the owners have to close down and find other work. Let journalists use their creative gifts to find other jobs, like the rest of America. Citizens cannot be called to bail out yet another failing industry. Government is continually taking away our freedoms. Freedom of speech is a fundamental right to all Americans. That means we are free to speak freely, without fear, whether we are liberal or conservative - if not in newsprint, then via the internet. As far as I am concerned, newpaper journalism died long ago when everything written became liberal opinion instead of fact. If you want to train journalists on our buck, how about a class in honesty and integrity?
