From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
To even consider the governments financial support of an arm of free press is untenable. To even consider discriminate taxation of our free press is frightening, unconscionable, and threatening to our entire society. Journalism will survive, as if it is being threatened, if you let it stand as is. A failing company should be allowed to fail without government intervention. For our government to intervene on behave of or to the behest of any organization protected by our Constitution is to promote civil disobedience and ultimately the destruction of our great nation. I am flabbergasted that I have to broach this issue. No infringement on freedom of speech or freedom of the press is acceptable. Let our Constitution stand as written and intended. It is your DUTY.
