From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
We are a nation based on free speech and individual liberty. Please reject any censorship or taxing and placing fees on the use of free speech and the free flow of ideas and opinions on the airwaves, the internet, radio, tv, written or spoken, or any other form or entity dispensing truth, thoughts, ideas and opinions. We, as free Americans, do not need any one particular group, especially the government or any other telling us what to listen to or what not to listen to. We do not need the government fining or placing fees and/or taxes on those entities which which some may consider to disagree with and/or are perhaps by some considered to criticize the government's policies and statements. Stations and other entities should be allowed to air and voice what they want and listeners should be able to listen to what they want. We do not need to subsidise failing newspapers, journalists, or any other entity. If they are failing, it is perhaps because they aren't offering what the public wants. If they think they are going to fail, perhaps they will be responsible and make some needed changes. Thank you for your consideration.
