From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Consumers are turning to the Internet and advertisers are cutting back on mainstream media advertising because we are so angered by the obviously liberal bias we are subjected to in news "reporting". If these old school journalistic sources are having financial trouble, let them pay the price. Let them adjust their business model, like all of us small business owners have to do. Don't ask us taxpayers to BAILOUT THE MEDIA too. In a free enterprise system (which is what America is..in case you have forgotten), the consumer will pick which product best meets his needs. I don't appreciate the FTC's attempt to silence conservative speech. I also don't want my hard earned dollars going to "better support and lower the costs of journalism". These media outlets are big boys and we don't need the GOVERNMENT to protect them on the playground!!!!! Small business owner and overstretched taxpayer, Cathy Webb Purswell Atlanta Home Brokers
