From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I am concerned that the FDC is pursuing an agenda that is a violation of our constitutional right to free speech. We currently have all aspects of political, religous opinions expressed in newspapers, radio, TV and the internet. The is no need for the government to train journalists, censor free speech or attempt to intimidate the persons in engaged in news commentary. I believe that all persons that value free speech of whatever political or religous belief are against FDC intrusion on our constitutional rights. The citizens of this great country are already aroused by BIG goverment and are expressing it in political movements across our great nation to change there representatives in Washington. The FDC should not feel immune to this movement for change. Perhaps that realization is what is behind the attempt to restrict and control free speech.
