From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Journalism is a business, just like our local stores. It is imparative that the government NOT be seen as picking winners and losers in any sector of our economy. What is done for one then has to be done for all and we simply cannot afford to bail-out our entire country. This current logic of aiding private business would have led a previous administration to bail-out wagon wheel manufacturors when automobiles were coming into wide-spread use. How silly would that have been? Our market based economy should be allowed to pick the winners and losers .. those who provide a needed service will be rewarded by the consumer. Thank you for allowing we, the consusmers, to make our own decisions and not taxing us into oblivion.
