From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Freedom of speech and freedom of the press are fundamental rights and should be protected by the FTC and government, not intruded upon or controlled by them. Please do not try to censor, tax, control or otherwise hijack journalism by taxing news aggregators, by taxing the public to train or bail out journalists. The government has no business funding journalists, any press or in any way controlling the content or programming of speech. This is a direct attempt by government to seize control of the press by taxing and censoring conservative media and should be stopped immediately along with abolishing the so-called 'Fairness Doctrine'
