From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
My comments on your draft of: "POTENTIAL POLICY RECOMMENDATIONS TO SUPPORT THE REINVENTION OF JOURNALISM" Regulating or taxing one business or method of disseminating information to the public so as to support another is just plain wrong. If you will allow the "free market" to determine what the people will pay for information willingly then there is no need to tax Peter to pay Paul. Any steps you take in this direction will not be true information but rather indoctrination. And we have seen many other nations use this method to provide false information to control their citizens. Please don't continue in this direction but allow open (no tax, no control) discourse in every form of communication. Thank you,
