From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
The title of your conference both asks and answere the question posed. The media is surviving in the internet age. It is thriving on the diversity of outlets. The need to propose a "bailout plan" for the tradtional media outlets is just an attempt to control the message. It is the "American" way to conduct censorship, tax the enemey to death if you can't win the ratings contest. At least the Chinese would just take over and create their own search engine company to control the message.
