From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I want to make clear that I completely disagree with any effort to impose a "Drudge Tax" upon various media outlets, and with the document "Reinventing Journalism." This document would unfairly tax certain types of news outlets, would place unnecessary taxes upon certain electronic devices, would artificially support failing journalists with bailout money, and would create a "Journalism Division" of the AmeriCorps, forcing taxpayers to fund the training of journalists. The citizens of the United States should be able to choose what they want to do with their money, not forced to fund the growth of more bureaucracy.
