From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I fully read the plan for the “Reinvention of Journalism.” I am against any form of altering or aiding the current "status-quo" of journalism, newspapers, radio or the Internet, or any other form of media that currently protected by the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. I do not want, in any form, one source of "journalism," such as newspapers, to be supported by any form of Government aid (bailout)while other forms of media and electronic devices are required to pay a tax to support them. I oppose any form of "Drudge Tax" or a government creation of a "Journalism Division" of AmeriCorps. I will oppose, with my vote, any elected official that proposes to enact any form of taxation and/or aid (bailout) to any form of speech or news or information on the Internet. I also oppose the so called “Fairness Doctrine” which gives the Federal Government powers to regulate "Free Speech" which is guaranteed by the 1st Amendment.
