From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I oppose the FTC's “Reinventing Journalism” document and this effort to censor and tax conservative speech and our free speech rights in general. The government should stay out of journalism. We are a free country--a society of capitalism. If a news/media organization can't be profitable on its own, it shouldn't survive. We shouldn't subsidize failed businesses with tax dollars. If the liberal media's views were more popular with the common citizen, advertisers would utilize their services...but the truth is the liberal media bias is no longer accepted by the common citizen. We don't believe what they have to say any longer because they have lost their credibility. They distort the facts to achieve a political purpose. For this reason, people don't listen, companies don't pay for advertising. This is how it should work. Don't subsidize the liberal media's lies. We don't need any more taxes--on electronics or anything else.
