From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
The journalism industry is a part of the 'free' market and should remain as such, with no interference or support from the federal government, I don't believe it is the place of my government to "Reinvention of Journalism" this sector is best left to the drive and demand of the free market. Our country has a many more pressing issues to overcome at the moment without taking precious funds (~35Billion USD)from our hard earned tax dollars that we send to Washington! Also I believe that this would be an affront to free speech in this country, the federal government should not be taking such a position. Please do not enact this plan, its not what government is suppose to be doing. I believe my government's time and my tax dollars would be best spent protecting our bourders and addressing the Mexican drug problem and removing the millions of illegal aliens from our country. Thanks for your time and consideration. Kevin Holloway
