From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I am a firm believer in Free Speech. I am also a firm believer in the free enterprise system. We don't need regulations on our media as the free enterprise system will determine who will watch and who will succeed. I do believe that truely NEWS shows should be fair and balanced and present both sides in a non-political way. It used to be that news programs were not as theatrical as they are today and were supported by other programs on the station. This was because the news was rather just the news and people got their entertainment from watching other programs. Here is what I support if the news programs don't go back to what they once were: Having a disclaimer at the beginning of each program that presents news stating that this program presents the views of this station and its viewers and does not present a fair and balanced view. Freedom is what this country was founded on. Please don't take this away from us no matter what we believe. Thanks Dan
