From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
The Drudge Tax is unfair. It is just another attempt to stifle free speech. There is so much bias and propaganda in the tv reports we see now and much of it is untrue and consumers don't trust tv station news any more. We have seen it happen time and again. Bashing or negating anything anyone says against the administration. Journalists' creed is to expose any and all unfairness from the administration that rules us. That is the reason set forth when journalism was defined. What if this leads to govt censorship and you couldn't voice your opinion or give an analysis on a topic? It is you, the individual reading this that will end up paying (by losing your freedom of speech) for this and when you are in danger of being arrested for it, then you can look back at this day and say how proud you are for passing it. There will be "uncivil" war over this eventually.
