From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
To whom it may concern: I am writing to voice my complaints regarding the document “Potential Policy Recommendations to Support the Reinvention of Journalism" and potential FTC impacts on freedom of the press, free enterprise, and taxes. My comments are "hands off". Hands off the 1st amendment of the Constitution and the FTCs meddling and controlling of the press. Hands off private companies decisions on how to do business and whether or not the succeed of fail. And finally, hands off my money with more taxes on my electronics that I used to stay informed. If this money is to be used by government to support the media, then the media is no longer free to play the watchdog role over government that has been a primary function of media throughout time. Sincerely, Robert G Nadon
