From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I am uncomfortable with and object to the "Drudge Tax", "journalism division" of AmeriCorps, helping to pay the salary of every journalist, taxing electronics, and maybe even taxing cell phones. I do not think it wise or safe (for we the people) to have the government interfering with or in fact having anything to do with the reporting of news and information by the media. Tv, Radio or written. It is not the business of the government to interfer with, stifle, guide, or review news (information) with the exception of protecting children (pornography).
