From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I would ask you to drop consideration of the "Reinventing Journalism" document which is up for consideration. The American public deserves to have access to all sides of issues, and it appears that this document would severely limit - or completely squelch - the conservative voice in the media. The 'left' must feel threatened with free speech and free press, or they would not be so anxious to drown the conservative voice by regulating it so drastically. The American people do not need another tax to support groups and issues with which we do not necessarily agree. The free market should be allowed to operate - and these publications or broadcast operations should be allowed to succeed or fail on their own merits, not by being propped up and supported by another tax imposed by the government, paid for by the American public. I am opposed to any and all efforts to censor, limit, or restrain free speech -- on conservative or Christian talk radio, on the internet or anywhere else. Thank you for your consideration.
