Gentleman, I am sure you are aware of this fact but let me simply restate the obvious. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press.” Your idea, "Reinvention of Journalism" is an attack on our Constitution and our rights of Americans of free speech. Stop the madness that is the “Potential Policy Recommendations to Support the Reinvention of Journalism,” which is a 47-page terrifying bureaucratic plan to insinuate government into the very information that forms the basis for democracy. No one doubts journalism needs “reinvention.” Every industry does on a regular basis. But what is the FTC, and for that matter Congress, the FCC and more doing messing with journalism? Butting in where they don’t belong.
