From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
When I was a child I remember hearing stories like these coming out of Communist Russia. We knew the Communist way of life was wrong and they would eventually be defeated. We felt sorry for the people who had to live under the suppressive Communist regime not knowing some of the population supported those ideals. We knew nothing like this, government manipulation of journalism, would ever occur in the United States. We are, after all, the land of the free and home of the brave. This cannot be allowed to happen. Our government has grown to be too large. It's like a large beast feeding on the soft underbelly of the Constitution. Once the Constitution has been totally consumed liberty, freedom and the people shall be lost. We shall be consumed by the beauracracy of socialism, our monies volunteered by the federal government for ideals we do not support. Our goverment has way overstepped their Consitutional mandate but somehow, under this administration, speaking out is considered seditious. Losing our first amendment right is truly sad to behold. When will our judiciary awaken to realize "inalienable" doesen't mean "flexible" to promote a political agenda. When will the social engineering stop?
