From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
This is an obvious violation of our 1st Amendment rights and why it is even being considered is beyond belief. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press.” The FTC, Congress, the FCC have no right messing with journalism? Butting in where they don’t belong. I urge you not to even consider this since it is a complete violation of the 1st amendment. “Citizenship Media Fund.” Those include a $4 billion tax on consumer electronics like your TV or iPod; a $5-6 billion advertising tax; and a tax on both ISP and cell phone bills is beyond disbelief. As a blogger myself i will not pay any tax to practice my 1st amendment rights and help pay for the leftist propaganda machine. Thank you for reading Greg
