From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Dear Sir: I am adamantly opposed to your potential Policy Recommendations to Support the Reinvention of Journalism. This is an abject attempt to control the news media and will only further stifle the 2nd amendment. The only “Reinvention of Journalism “ that needs to be done is to make it more objective, instill a moral commitment to preventing the leak and publication of classified information, and return to the intent of journalism to accurately report on the news. Also we most certainly don’t need any more taxes so support or train journalists. The free market system will do a fine job of that on its own. This is a blatant attempt to strangle conservative opinion, particularly talk radio. We don’t need more government oversight…we need less! Sincerely, Stuart L. Alton
