From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
To Whom It May Concern: Having reviewed the current administration's FTC draft report, “Potential Policy Recommendations to Support the Reinvention of Journalism,” I see just one problem - the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America. Almost without exception, the new laws and taxes proposed in the report stand in direct opposition to the rights afford us by the First Amendment, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press.” I strongly oppose this proposed legislation.
