From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I oppose the plans you have published in your “Reinventing Journalism” document and to this effort to censor and tax conservative speech and our free speech rights in general. The FTC should only support free unfettered speech, not subsidize newsmedia which due to its liberal bias on the news does not draw enough listeners or readers to attract advertisers to support itself. Journalism is journalism regardless of the venue, whether it be radio, newspapers or television. The government and the FTC have no right to tax and therefore control opinions they disagree with. I have no desire to listen to the liberal news media as it has basically become a communication and spin department for our liberal government.
