From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Subsidizing with taxpayer money, ANY private organization - including any media group, should be a crime. We do not need or want public funding of ANY media endeavors. Period. In a free market society, the strong will survive. Weak businesses should not survive. We, the taxpayers, cannot support every enterprise that the Federal bureaucrats believe we should support. Let's focus on borders, defense and streamlined administrative leadership in Washington DC. The bloated government has ruined our economy and killed our individual "spirit to thrive". It's "easier" for the government to provide the education, the funding, the housing, "all the answers", ... i.e. the meal ticket. "Give me a fish, and I eat for a day. Teach me to fish and I eat for life." (apologies to the author) And if my Federal government insists on doing my job for me, I become numb, stupid and a non-taxpayer. I will be unable to fend for myself and provide for your bloated wishes. Thank you. Dennis Brannon
