From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Anyone with an open mind would know that the majority of mainstream media is bought and owned by higher powers than their individual entities. If people felt that they were getting full and honest information from the mainstream media, there would be no flight from them. After years of misinformation and outright silence on key issues, it is no wonder that the masses have fled to other news sources. It is exactly because of the unfavorable reporting from alternative news sources, that the administration is in a panic to shut them down by what ever means is possible. Hiding their efforts in such nonsense as the proposed rulings only shows that they deem the population as ignorant. (Maybe some are.) But in my opinion, these efforts are tantamount to treason and an effort to stifle free speech. While I appreciate the opportunity to give my opinion, I fear that all of our opinions are of little consequence. It seems that an agenda is in motion that does not appreciate dissidence.
