From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
In our country we agree to fund what we use. If we aren't using newspapers let them fail. If we are using the internet create something there attractive enough that I want to pay for it. Otherwise, leave us alone. Good Journalism will always succeed. If there is no market for what certain writers say let them find another job. No one funded the companies that laid off my husband in the 70s who is an engineer. No one bailed out the companies who lost defense contracts. We survived. So will liberal journalists who can no longer sell their ideas. Let the free market do its job. The "Fairness Doctrine" is a ruse and we all know it. If liberal bureaucrats and politicians can't convince us they know best they need to go find another job - or another country. Why should I pay their salary? Nobody is guaranteed salary for the work we 'want' to do. LEAVE FREE SPEECH ALONE.
