You think the Federal Government needs to "manage" the evolution of the media industry? The federal government is $13 TRILLION in debt, and you are wasting valuable time and money on a nonexistent problem. Stop this madness. Now. If you need to feel busy, hold a forum or a workshop on something useful, like how to stop the oil leak in the Gulf. Our economy is based on markets, in which people pay for goods and services that they desire. Markets work. Markets allowed the whale oil industry to die, along with the steam locomotive industry, the wooden tennis racquet industry, and the 8-track tape industry. All of these, at one time, employed thousands upon thousands of workers. Technology changed, consumer preferences changed, jobs were lost, but America moved on and thrived! Can you understand this simple fact? We don't need the Federal Government to interfere. Let the marketplace decide which technologies and which companies survive. Stop wasting our tax dollars on this monumentally stupid project. Go home. Thank you.
